A CCTV NVR is the IP equivailant of a traditional CCTV DVR. NVR which stands for network video recorder, takes all the video signals from all the IP CCTV cameras connected anywhere on the local network and recordes them to an internal hard drive. The NVR then has video outputs generally HDMI and VGA to connect to monitors to display the images and playback recordings.
IP CCTV NVRs and the IP Cameras connected to it can be viewed remotely over the internet or LAN either by PC, laptop, Mac, mobile phone or tablet. NVRs also have many other features like Motion Detection, Video siganl loss alarm, muliple or single camera playback. The IP NVRs will also record audio from the IP Cameras if they have this feature fitted. They will also send emails and take snap shots of motion detection events. Our NVRs also support 2 way speech.
